MNOs and MVNOs weight in Peruvian Market

Following our recent market analysis for Colombia, let’s turn our attention to Peru.

According to Osiptel data, Peru’s mobile lines have experienced a modest 1.53% overall growth. However, a significant portion of this growth is attributed to specific operators. Viettel (Bitel) saw an impressive 625,000 line increase, boosting their market share from 17.60% to a noteworthy 18.82%. Additionally, America Movil enjoyed a respectable 295,000 line gain, pushing their market share from 29.86% to 30.12%.

The Peruvian MVNO market remains nascent compared to other regions. While Guinea (https://guinea.pe/) and Flash (https://lnkd.in/dP7WWcwC) hold a notable presence, their combined market share is only around 0.42%. This is significantly lower than some other analyzed markets where MVNOs capture as much as 8% of the total market.

Smaller players contribute minimally. Providers like Dolphin Mobile (https://dolphinmobile.pe/), Intermax (https://intermax.pe/#/), and Suma Movil Peru (https://sumamovil.pe/) currently hold a very limited presence, with only a few hundred subscribers each.
